A Heart of Gold is a non-profit organization that provides Home and Community Based- Services for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Houston, Texas. 

We are an outstanding home healthcare service program who care and dedicate to put our individual's needs first. We feel it is important that we communicate effectively with the individual and all who are involved in the person’s care; to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the consumer.

A Heart of Gold, will implement teaching & training pertaining to each individual’s needs, ensure that each individual’s humanity and dignity is respected; ensure that the rights of the individual, as exercised by the individual or the LAR on behalf of the individual, are protected, encourage the individual, the individual's LAR, and family members, with the consent of the individual or the individual's LAR, to participate in making choices about where the individual will live, attend school, work, and take part in leisure activities; and support the individual in person-directed planning and participate, upon request of the individual or LAR, in a meeting of the service planning team.

A Heart Of Gold, HCS is a certified private Healthcare Service Provider by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) located in Houston, Texas. We are committed to provide exceptional care and genuine service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
